I’ve been invited to present two student programs at Virginia Road Elementary School, Valhalla Union Free School District, in White Plains, NY. The first, a K-1 (45-minutes) program, will feature a reading of THE SEA HIDES A SEAHORSE, the singing of 1-2 seahorse songs (accompanied by a ukulele), and a general student-centered Q&A about writing/being an author. The second, a grade 2 program (45-minutes), will feature a reading of THE SEA HIDES A SEAHORSE, and a general student-centered Q&A (e.g., why I made certain word/character choices in the story, a little more about the ocean habitat, etc.) and about writing/being an author. Seahorse crafts will be enjoyed in the classroom, and the presentation will be followed by book-signings of any preordered copies.
